Hotel Town Nishikigawa

Hirome Market, the Sunday morning market, a well-known bakery, and the shopping district are all easy to reach on foot. The price felt extremely reasonable for this location, and the staff were kind and helpful. Thanks to the hotel. The room was quiet, the air conditioning worked well, and noise wasn't an issue. Amenities included toothbrushes, pajamas, towels, razors, tea, coffee, and bath salts, with spare hangers as well. The fixed hair dryer was a little awkward to use.

It's a Showa-era style business hotel in a good location, and staying at this price is a big help. You can tell it's an older place, though. I found some hair in the trash can, which was disappointing. There was no bidet, and the toilet and unit bath are old, but they were kept up reasonably well.

It's about a 15-minute walk from Kochi Station. The rooms are worn and old, but clean. There's no TV, and they save money by not having an NHK contract, which has helped keep the nightly rate around 4,000 yen. The front desk staff were very friendly. It might not suit everyone, but I liked it.

I stayed here for a business trip to Kochi. The room itself was spacious, though the facilities are old and both the bathroom and toilet are small, as others have said. The low price may explain it, but I wish they'd supplied hand soap instead of body soap, and used better shampoo and conditioner.
