B cycle

I've stayed here twice, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. It's a lovely guest house. I don't really understand the complaints about the shower. If you get up early and are considerate of the other guests, sharing it is easy.

This is a true self-service guest house, with no staff on site and communication only by email. Check your email often after booking, since you need a password to get through the door. The room is spacious, but sound carries, and the staircase is so narrow that hauling large luggage upstairs is hard. It's a five-minute walk to Biei station, with a 7-11 just a block away, which is convenient. WiFi is strong. There's one bathroom on the first floor with a full set of toiletries and good water pressure. Free laundry is available, though a cycle takes a long time.

The bathroom is large and clean, with strong water pressure, and the room was spacious and clean too. You enter through the side door. There are two floors: one bathroom and one toilet downstairs, then two toilets and a laundry room upstairs. The two washer/dryers are free to use, but each cycle takes four hours. Highly recommended!

The location is great and the rooms are decent, but the service was abysmal. The staff weren't willing to help at all.
