The owner's family were wonderful hosts. They were especially good with our 1.5 year old daughter, and even took us on a short ride around Biei town. The meals were superb, so I recommend booking breakfast and dinner ahead. They charged only for the ingredients. The living room has lots of instruments and a few toys. I used to play in a band, so I had a great time there. Just know that the family live on the second floor and sometimes pass through the living room, so it may not feel completely private. If you enjoy chatting with locals while travelling, though, you'll love it.

We spent two nights here during summer holidays, and the whole family had such a good time. The owners were wonderful, and their wife joined us in playing music and gave our daughter advice about her future. She said she now has a clearer idea of the path she wants to take. My middle school-aged daughter was thrilled to find a German piano, a great drum set, guitars, and other instruments in the stylish, spacious living room. It's one group per day, the neighbors are far away, and music lovers can play late without worrying about disturbing anyone. The garden was a lovely place to enjoy the stars, since there aren't any streetlights nearby. We also had a BBQ there, and the tarp meant rain wasn't a problem. In the mornings we could get close to the squirrels that visit the garden. Breakfast brought homemade bread and blueberry jam, which were delicious, and they even cooked the leftover potatoes from the BBQ for us. Such thoughtful hosts, and we've got wonderful memories from the stay. The room was clean, the food was delicious, and everything felt comfortable. I'm already hoping to return during blueberry season so we can pick berries in the garden. I'll bring my sheet music next time. I'm almost worried it'll get so popular that we won't be able to book again, lol.

What made the trip for us was how kindly the owners treated our child, who was just under 3 years old. He made plenty of noise playing with the toys and instruments in the spacious room, but they never seemed annoyed and always spoke to him gently. He got very attached to the owner's wife, and it was surprising to see him having even more fun than my wife and me. It was the first trip where I'd seen him enjoy himself so much. The room was clean and roomy, the food was delicious, and the whole place suited my wife, our child, and me perfectly. We'll definitely come back.

The view outside was amazing, and the room was clean. Our kind hosts made the stay comfortable, and breakfast was a real treat, especially with all those vegetables. I'd definitely book breakfast here. Highly recommend it.
