Seaside Hotel The Beach

The building is on a corner close to the seaside, and it houses both residents and guests. It’s decent value for two adults on a budget, with room for two kids if needed. The location isn’t very accessible, so having a car is preferable. Parking is either free roadside or paid at 1000 yen per night. Before going to Okinawa, the rental car companies remind you repeatedly about the rules and illegal parking. The rooms are bright and nice, with a mini bar fridge, washing machine, working air-con, and a decent balcony view. The bathroom is very spacious. The lift is small, but can fit two people and four pieces of luggage.

It’s a quiet spot near the seaside, with restaurants and shops close by, and the staff were super friendly. The room was nice, but we couldn’t turn the lights off without also switching off the fan, so we ended up unscrewing the bulbs. There are washing facilities, but nowhere on the balcony to hang clothes.

The location is close to the ocean, and it’s a short walk, under 30 minutes, to American Village and the bus stop. It’s a bit far from the airport, and the last bus leaves quite early. The rooms are small and simple, but very clean, with a big bathroom. There’s a fridge and a sink with a hot plate, though no microwave. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is basic, like the usual included breakfast in Japan.

The view from the room is amazing, and the TV has Netflix for when you want a break from looking out at it. My deluxe suite had an electric skillet, washer, and some cooking gear. The staff were courteous and kind, and happy to help with extra amenities, local information, or calling a taxi. Nice hotel in a great location.
