Sunset Beach House

The room was big, with two double beds, and the breakfast, staff, and amenities were great. Facing the beach, there’s a beautiful path for walking or running. American village is next door, but it wasn’t really our kind of area, with lots of American shops and food.

We had a spacious room with a big, new bathroom and a comfortable bed. Every room faces the small beach and sea, and our good-sized balcony was a lovely spot to sit and watch the sunset. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent, though you have to book it in advance. Getting here by car from Naha airport was easy. There are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, convenience stores, and other shops nearby. The small car park shared with the hotel next door was often full, but there’s a free public lot about a five-minute walk away.

They wouldn’t give me a receipt that I need for reimbursement, and they’ve given me several different explanations that weren’t true. I wouldn’t expect help from the property. Be careful. I consider this place a scam. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The room itself was nice, but the hotel sits next to what feels like a huge American theme park. It’s loud, fake, weird, and annoying. A heads-up about breakfast: it’s Japanese-style and quite different from what you might expect at a Western hotel. Beef cartilage and raw fish may suit you, but I didn’t like the food at all. We’d already paid for breakfast, but we’ll look for other options outside the hotel.
