The room was relatively large for downtown, but that doesn't change how bad the stay felt. Over more than 20 trips to Japan, including this 32-day trip, this was the worst hotel I've stayed in. Reception service was poor. During the whole check-in, the receptionist spoke fewer than five words and didn't mention the complimentary feminine products. The room looked old and was terribly dusty, including the chair and the area by the floor light. There was one complimentary bottle of water for a twin room. If there were none, I could accept that, but I don't understand giving one for two people. Room: 3 stars. Service: 2. Cleanliness: 1. Bath, breakfast, and dinner: not applicable.

This is not a safe place for women. It was one of the worst places I've stayed in Japan. I left my room for breakfast for less than 30 minutes and took the room key with me. When I returned, a house staff member had entered without permission, even though I hadn't asked for cleaning, and was going through my things. My gold jewelry was missing. The desk staff were extremely rude when I asked about it. They said hotel policy allows them to enter the room whenever they want, and that touching or examining guests' luggage and belongings is okay. I've never seen another hotel in Japan claim the right to touch and examine guests' property at any time. I got no help recovering my jewelry, and will file a police complaint about the loss. The security and staff were the worst. Never stay here. Take a video of your belongings before leaving the room, or they'll take things and blame you.

The guestroom is small, and the hotel sits in an entertainment district with lots of karaoke places, nightclubs, and a shopping mall nearby. Sakaestation and Mitsubishi are only a few minutes away on foot.

Looks really good from the outside, but the inside feels old-fashioned.
