Location is the biggest draw here. The hotel is right in the Sakae area, about a three-minute walk from the elevator down to Sakae station. Plenty of attractions are walkable, and the rest are easy to reach by subway. The area looks drab in the daytime but turns into a lively, buzzing part of Nagoya at night. For the price, it's hard to beat as a base for exploring. We stayed for a week in late Feb 2026, at the start of a month-long trip to Japan, with my wife and our one-year-old. We planned to spend most of our time in Nagoya, so I wanted a convenient base and a basic room that would encourage us to be out all day. That worked perfectly. The rooms are tiny by global standards, maybe smaller than some closets, but manageable if you know what to expect. Planning ahead helps, and the money saved is better spent on food, sights, and experiences. Using the hotel pajamas and amenities also cuts down on laundry. Service was standard excellent Japanese service. They treated everyone fairly and did everything within their job scope, without going beyond it in a way that might mean treating guests unequally. I can live with that. Excellent value and a great location.

The neighborhood is very central, near the main street with shopping and nightclubs, though this area felt quite dirty compared with other Japanese cities. The rooms themselves were very clean, and the service was good and friendly. They're on the small side, but we fit two full-sized suitcases and could leave them open and rearrange things. The bathroom was a decent size too.

I have a couple of questions about the Double Room, Non Smoking (15㎡). Could you confirm whether it has a vanity table or a mirror that's suitable for doing makeup, either a makeup mirror or one with good lighting? I saw room sizes listed as 13 m² and 15 m². Does that refer to a difference in the actual floor area, or is it mainly the bed size or type? Thank you for your help.

I've stayed here for many years, practically since it first opened, and had been very satisfied until this visit. At check-in I found a supposedly clean face hand towel hanging by the sink with a pubic hair on it. Disgusting. Housekeeping really needs to be more careful. Please improve the service.

There's only one USB Type-A port, which is useless for most phones and tablets these days since they use Type-C. There are no plugs on the table or by the bed either. The only socket is near the entrance, in front of the toilet. Really bad design. I can't believe it gets 4.2 stars on Google. Be careful.
