Breakfast was dull and limited, so I’d suggest eating out. yoshinoya is much cheaper. At check-in, the staff told me to use the machine but didn’t explain that I needed to put the magnet on the door for room cleaning. When I went to the counter, they couldn’t do anything, and I was left with a messy room. What’s reception for if guests aren’t given the information they need?

The room itself is very comfortable, but the smoke on the second floor makes getting to it miserable. The smoking area barely works as it is, and the ventilation needs to be much stronger. Even with elevator access control, the elevator stops on the second floor, where the cigarette smell is unbearable. You can’t take the stairs back to your room, so you have to hold your breath in the elevator until you reach your floor and can get out. The whole second floor is full of secondhand smoke, and nobody likes that smell. This is a huge downside.

The room was quiet, with no train noise, and everything was clean. Chiba Station is right nearby, which is handy if you have suitcases. There’s a 7-11 downstairs, an Italian restaurant on the first floor for breakfast, and shopping malls very close by. The staff were super friendly. Weekend rates are expensive, though: Monday was three times cheaper than Saturday.

Getting around was easy since the station is only a short walk away, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. The food fell short of what I expected, but everything else was pleasant. A convenient place to stay for the location and service.
