Hotel Green Tower Makuhari

The buffet was very good, and the hotel's location worked out well for my event at Makuhari Messe. It's right by the train station and shopping areas, and the walk to Messe isn't bad either. I ended up here at the end of August because my first choice was full. My room was clean enough, but definitely dated, with obvious makeshift repairs on the bathroom tile walls. The bed felt a little too stiff for me. Still, I had a positive stay and would come back for another event.

I've just checked in, and the location is good and the staff are at least friendly. That's about all I can say for the hotel so far. The room is incredibly dirty: stained sheets, black bits all over the floor, and what looks like dust that's never been cleaned. I don't even want to take my shoes off. I booked a smoking room by mistake, which was my fault, and thought turning on the AC might help with the smell, but it doesn't work. The beds are uncomfortable, too. I spoke to another guest who'd just checked in and immediately decided to leave for another hotel. It's cheap, and the rooms feel cheap and poorly cared for.

The rate is good and the location is great. Some of the staff are really nice, while others less so. The carpet in the room didn't look clean, and parts of the wall panels were stained.

The location is terrific, but this was the most we paid for a hotel in Japan and the room was the most outdated. I honestly can't see where the money goes, because it certainly doesn't seem to be spent on the rooms 😂😂. The walls were grubby and the carpet worn and stained. Behind the dresser I even spotted an old RJ11 modem for ADSL, still plugged into the wall. Who knows how much power those things have been using throughout the hotel, even though nobody's used them since the early 00s 😂.
