Hotel Livemax Chiba Station

For the price, I’d recommend this place. I was in Chiba on my first day in Japan because it’s fairly near Narita. The room was on the small side, but it was quiet and very clean. It also had what I needed, including an air purifier, fridge and microwave.

The rooms are modern and clean, but there was a problem with the air conditioner leaking. They told me about it, and I found one of my pillows was wet, so they should get that fixed soon. My arrival was stressful too. The email said in Japanese that I had to check in by 22:30, and I only made it a few minutes before then after flying in from overseas. There was no receptionist when I arrived, and I worried I’d missed the deadline. The front desk wasn’t staffed until 8am, which I didn’t like since flight plans can be unpredictable.

The staff were pleasant, and the hotel is near the train station. Convenience stores are about a five-minute walk away. The Natural History Museum and Institute is around a 10-minute drive or a 30-minute bus ride from here. I might stay again for a one-day stopover if I’m in the area.

The room had plenty of space and was quite clean. WiFi worked well, and the station was nearby.
