Good.

I regret booking this place. It costs too much for what you get, and there’s no bidet. It’s also so noisy. Given the quality, they should charge less.

The room itself was reasonably clean, and getting to the station’s north exit takes about five minutes. That’s about all I can say in its favor. The building looks run-down and a little scary, and the entrance door wobbles enough to make you uneasy. There was no hot water at the sink, and despite staying several nights, I was given just one bath towel. They did warn me about the trains, but the noise was incredibly loud and hard to put up with. Chiba Station has around five or six lines, and with the hotel so close, the trains slow down and the noise goes on constantly. At times it felt unbearable and left me mentally drained.

The room was clean, and the low accommodation price felt fair for it. The building, though, is old and dark in the corridors and other shared areas. The main problem is the train noise. I’d read about it in other reviews, and it really is loud. Double-glazed windows might help, or they could try to honor requests for rooms away from the tracks. There were no hand towels in the bathroom or toilet, and having no microwave, even in a shared area, was inconvenient. There’s no manager or receptionist around. I only saw the cleaning staff now and then. The hotel sign claims it’s a one-minute walk from Chiba Station, but it took me about five minutes.
