We had a wonderful family stay at L-Base Holiday Villa. There was so much to keep the kids busy that we were happy just to stay in the house: they loved the slide, the “secret” loftroom, the play equipment and the rock wall. The house was clean, well maintained and equipped with all the appliances, even a washer dryer. Kodai was helpful, and check-in was a breeze. Highly recommend it for families with a car. Thank you, L-Base!

The reception staff were friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Our room was small, though, and the foldable mattress was soft, so I didn’t sleep very well.

The room was spotless, with a roomy clean bathroom and a little kitchen, though there was barely any table space. I loved sleeping on tatami. We stayed just one night on our autumn trip; the property is a long way from central Matsumoto and there isn't much nearby, so having a car is essential. Parking is right outside and the Wi-Fi was very good. It looks like it could be a paradise for families in summer, with lots of activities for kids.

Everything else about our autumn family stay was just right, especially as a base for places such as Kamikochi and Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The relaxed atmosphere, spacious tidy room, and nearby coin laundry by the lobby made it easy to settle in. It sits inside a neighborhood, with a bus stop within walking distance, but the bus schedule isn't suitable if you're in a hurry. Getting a taxi seemed difficult, and booking one the day before didn't help.

We got to ride the mini train, which made the stay unforgettable. Everything worked well and was beautifully put together. Such a perfect little getaway. I'll miss it ❤️
