Plaza Hotel Annex

I stopped by again for the first time in ages. The portions were huge, and I was surprised by how many set meals there were. I could've ordered almost all of them! I hope lots of people give the place a try.

As a local, I use this recommended business hotel as an evacuation site during disasters, and I'd suggest it to friends visiting Amakusa too.

The rooms are simple and work perfectly for business. There's a Japanese restaurant on the first floor and another restaurant on the ninth floor. A convenience store is about a five-minute walk away.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, and breakfast was delicious, though the sink drain was a little clogged. I booked for the first time while visiting the Amakusa City fireworks festival. I hadn't reserved ahead, but I felt unwell and called at the last minute. There was one room available, and the receptionist was very helpful, which put me at ease. I'd definitely stay here again when driving around Amakusa.
