Clean place, lovely view!

I’m sharing this so someone else can avoid the same experience. The place is spacious, and the sheets were changed regularly, but the price felt high given the upkeep and condition of the facilities. I hope the website photos are updated to show the current state, and that these problems get fixed. The bed was painful to sleep on because its springs were broken. In the kitchen, the cookware was in very poor shape, the pots were scratched, and the knives were so blunt they couldn’t cut even a misshapen tomato. The sponge was moldy, and the hot plate frame had melted. There was rot on the balcony floorboards, so we couldn’t go out there and BBQ was out of the question. The wooden bathroom frame was also rotten, leaving a way for bugs to come in. Dust and insects covered the bathroom window, which looked like it hadn’t been cared for in years. The sink and kitchen taps leaked and needed constant wiping. When we opened the curtains, the runners and curtains fell down because there were no end caps. I wouldn’t consider it safe for small children to play there right now. There’s no phone number for questions, only email, which left me uneasy the whole time and wanting to leave straight away.

The balcony still has termites, so it doesn’t feel very clean. This is an old property that seems to date back to the development of Kibougaoka Pension Village. Since Harakulani was built, the ocean view has disappeared, and now you mainly see Halekulani’s windows. It might feel fair if the price were low, but it does seem a bit overpriced.
