Lang Hotel

The location is the only reason I'd give this place one star. It's very close to Ginza and several subway lines. The staff were rude and unhelpful when we raised issues, and they couldn't speak Japanese or even passable English. It took 30 minutes to get them to open the main entrance. They need to retrain the staff. If you don't mind risking a missed bus reservation or flight, then please, book here.

The rooms were very clean and fine, and the location is great. Still, for the same price I'd choose a hotel, and I'd consider staying here again only if it were more competitive. These are apartments being rented as hotel rooms, which is okay, but the website doesn't make that clear. There was also a lot of paperwork right before check-in, including forms they asked us to return just hours before arrival or we wouldn't be able to check in. No one was at the front desk, so we had to wait for someone to come downstairs.

The carpet could use a cleaning, but the room and location were both great. There's a good amount of space and a full set of kitchen utensils if you want to cook; otherwise, there are plenty of restaurants around. Right in the heart of Ginza, it's just a few minutes' walk to shops, groceries, restaurants, konbinis, and subway stations.

The service was terrible, and the carpets were filthy with mold on them. There were stains on the bedsheets, too. We had to leave early because of a medical emergency and provided letters and documentation from the doctors, but the host still refused and charged us for the entire stay. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
