Hotel Grand Terrace Chitose

We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a good variety, and may stay again, but I'll definitely avoid the public bath. It had such a strong chlorine smell that I couldn't wash it off my skin. The rooms were small for an airport hotel, and our family of three struggled. The shuttle bus was smooth once we found the stop, though it was somewhat hard to locate.

The hotel was in bad condition, and I wouldn't recommend it. I booked a twin room without noticing it was for smokers, even though I was travelling with my wife and five-year-old child. My wife asked downstairs about changing rooms and was told all non-smoking rooms were booked. We checked online, saw some available, and I went down to ask. They said rooms were available, but we'd have to make a new booking because the current one couldn't be cancelled. This wasn't a language problem. It seemed clear they had lied. Check carefully at the front desk when booking.

The parking lot was really spacious, and the onsen was nice after travelling. The hotel was comfortable and convenient for our late-arriving flight.

There's just one convenience store across the road, and you'll need your own vehicle to get around. I mentioned that the refrigerator wasn't cold, and they fixed it the next day.
