KOKO STAY Chitose

Everything worked out perfectly for me, from the rooms and service to the amenities. The lobby, hallways, and interiors have a cute, pretty renovated look that I loved. The train station is within walking distance, making it easy to travel to Sapporo and Tomakomai, as well as Sapporo beer and grill.

After a long day of travelling, this was a wonderful place for my family and me. The room was amazing, the hospitality was amazing, and breakfast was so tasty. We hope to return soon!

We’ve stayed here about a dozen times, going back to when it was WING HOTEL. This time the underground car park was closed, apparently because too many tourists had hit and run. We usually take the larger rooms on the top floor, I think the ninth. It’s a budget hotel, clean and tidy, with decent food and excellent reception staff and service. A good solid 8.5/10.

The place is old and cramped, with a low bathroom ceiling and slow WiFi, but for the price I can’t complain. It was quiet around the hotel, and there’s no smoking area inside the building. You have to walk about five junctions to reach the train station. The airport shuttle only runs at limited times in the morning, until 9:40 am. We had lots of luggage and a 1:40 pm flight, so reception booked us a taxi for 2,060 yen. There’s a Lawson convenience stall a short walk away, and coin washers and dryers on levels 3 and 8 at cheap rates. Staff spoke limited English but did their best to help. We asked for extra pillows using Google Translate, and they brought them, which we appreciated. You can help yourself to instant tea, coffee, and toiletries at the front desk. The Doutour drip coffee was superb, really thick and flavourful.
