Hotel Aura Daito

I was expecting less after seeing the negative reviews, but my stay in room 407 on Friday, June 20th was really comfortable. It was spacious, much bigger than the photos of the couples’ rooms suggest, and clean throughout. The open-air bath had no mold, and the room didn’t feel dusty. There are no steps inside, which is handy if you’ve had a drink. The food was tasty, and when I called several times to order since you can’t order from the TV, the staff were polite. The front desk sounded busy handling calls, though, so it would be nice if ordering by remote were possible. There isn’t much entertainment. When I wanted to take a break and wondered what to do, I considered a movie, but the selection was limited. There were a few newer titles, like Fast & Furious Fire Boost and Despicable Me Minion Super Transformation, but that was about it. It’s affordable and a good fit if you just want to relax and cuddle. You can combine the membership card with coupons, too. I usually stay with a different hotel group, so this one felt a little disappointing by comparison, though it’s also more reasonably priced. I’d use it now and then for a change of pace. I’d also love the remote ordering option (*^^*).

The water keeps leaking from the bathtub because the rubber has worn out, and the tub dial is broken too. In winter I want to get warm, but I hate dealing with a leak, so I leave the water running and feel like it’s being wasted. I keep wondering if the hotel doesn’t mind the cost of all that hot water. Fixing it sooner would save money. It’s a nice hotel, and lately drinks have been brought promptly. A 90-minute stay starts at 3,990 yen, with a free drink if you stay longer than 90 minutes. Restrooms are available until midnight, then after 12 noon the price switches to the room rate. The place is incredibly dusty. Food starts at 200 yen, but the menu hasn’t changed much over the years and I’m getting bored of it. The extra food options cost 500 to 1000 yen and aren’t very impressive. The shower head is moldy, and they still haven’t replaced it despite my suggestions. If there’s mold on the outside, I figure there must be some inside too. I often rinse my mouth in the bath, so I wish they’d be more hygienic.

I’d been concerned by the reviews, but I left very satisfied. The outdoor bath was clean, and I mean the one outside, not the bath in the room. The food was good quality for a love hotel, too. My one small request is that they provide hair conditioner. 🙏
