Hotel Vista Ebina

The room was tiny, but clean and comfortable, and I appreciated that the bath and toilet were separate. Hotel Vista is only a couple of minutes on foot from Ebina Station, and the fee was reasonable, about 8,000 yen including tax, roughly $50. Breakfast wasn't included in the original price. There are plenty of fast food places, convenience stores, and restaurants around, so you can find something to eat any time.

I mostly travel around Kanagawa, but wanted a base that was central to the places I was exploring and still gave me easy access to Tokyo. This place worked so well that I don't stay in central Tokyo anymore. It also puts Yokohama, Kamakura, and other nearby areas within reach. The hotel is literally across the street from Ebina Station, and Aeon Mall and its cinema are across the street too, alongside other shopping centers and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, the staff have been amazing, and smoking rooms are available. For the price and station access, it checks all the boxes for a Tokyo visit while staying outside the city.

I tried to extend my stay, but the hotel was fully booked. I told the receptionist a package was due in the next few days and asked them to hold it so I could collect it when it arrived. They said okay. When it showed up, though, they refused the delivery instead of keeping it, and now I'm having trouble getting the package I ordered. The service was very bad.

The staff were kind and friendly, the room had decent free Wi-Fi, and massage service was available. It's a short walk to Ebina Station, the room is spacious compared with other Japanese business hotels, and the shower and bathroom are separate. Free parking is hard to get because spaces are limited and need to be reserved in advance, though paid parking is nearby. The main issue for me was the air-conditioning, which only offers heat or fan with no temperature setting. Breakfast at the buffet wasn't great either; nearby hotels have much better options for the same or less. I'd stay here again only if the other nearby hotels were unavailable.
