It’s an old hotel, but the staff were friendly. They let me keep my bike indoors, which matters when I’m bikepacking. I’d recommend it to other cyclists.

The best part is the location, literally right by the station. Still, at 8900 yen a night, it’s expensive for what you get, nearly what I’ve seen in Tokyo, osaka and nagoya. The rooms feel old and the beds are hard. Breakfast is the sort of 800 yen buffet you’d expect, neither good nor bad. There aren’t many other choices, so if you have to stay here, just put up with it.

The view is excellent, and being right by the station is convenient. Takefu has very few hotels, though, and this one feels pricey for the area. The food was nothing special and cost too much, so I’d eat at a restaurant instead.

The room was tidy and clean, with a convenience store nearby. The hotel is right beside the train station, which is handy. It’s decent for the area, though a bit expensive.
