The area around Riraku is quiet, with few activities or restaurants, though there’s a frequent train to Kofu if you want more to do. It’s a short walk from the station, and the price is reasonable. It costs more than I’d like for a basic hotel, but a lot less than I’d pay for somewhere with a private onsen. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything I needed, and the guesthouse itself is lovely. The people working there were wonderful. There are three small onsens, booked through a reservation system, and each has its own charm. I had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere in the Fuefuki area.
