We loved having a private onsen right in the room, and also booked the outdoor private bath. Both were fantastic. The ryokan was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and professional. Dinner was delicious, with so much kaiseki that we were completely full each night. My wife and I stayed two nights in mid-January 2026. It’s only about a 10-minute walk from the onsen town, so it was easy to explore while still enjoying a peaceful stay. We’d happily recommend it.

The food was incredible, and the price felt relatively inexpensive. Our room was spacious and clean, with two onsens inside. The staff were kind and helpful, especially the woman who served us. We tried to speak a lot of Japanese with her, and she was amazing. Definitely worth spending a night here.

It’s out of the way, which makes it nice and quiet. I came for a day trip. There are two baths for women, one standing and one sitting, with a small cave. The shower is easy to miss when you enter, since it’s around the corner.

Of the three onsens I’ve visited, this was my favorite. I especially love outdoor baths in winter, and this one was just right. There are showers and the things you need, like shampoo, plus even a swing.

Sunlight comes through the trees, and the smoke swirls around a little cave. There’s a standing bath and a swing too. I’ve tried six onsens with the hopping pass so far, and for me this one is a must. Wow, amazing!
