HOTEL LiVEMAX Fuji Ekimae

We arrived after 8 or 9 pm, so keep in mind that the minimart and café on the station bridge were already closed. We had to walk about 5-10 minutes across the bridge and turn right to reach 7-11. The room was near Fuji train station, beneath Mount Fuji, and spacious enough for two people and four large suitcases. It had useful amenities, a clean bathroom, a bidet toilet, and manually adjustable hot water. There weren’t many electrical outlets, and they were by the TV desk, so charging your phone there means you can’t scroll in bed.

We asked to cancel after a sudden leg injury and sent photos explaining what happened. Even after calling a day ahead, the hotel refused. They told us they wouldn’t allow a free cancellation under any circumstances, even if someone died. They clearly didn’t care about an urgent situation. The Agoda agent was really nice and tried hard to get a refund, but this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. Very bad service. I’d never recommend the place.

The room was in good condition and we had a nice stay, right next to the train station. There’s not much to visit nearby or do around here unless you mainly want to rest and sleep. The dream bridge is close, but you could make it a day trip instead of staying overnight.

You pay your money and take your chances. They argued with me right at the start of my stay. I’d look for somewhere a little farther from the metro station instead, since there are much better hotels with local Japanese management.
