They even lend out bikes for free, which was the best part for me. The hostel's close to the station, the rooms and washrooms are clean, and the view of mt fuji is amazing. Like someone else said, it's the best hostel stay I've had so far in all my years.

The rooftop was a highlight, with an incredible Mt. Fuji view. I enjoyed my coffee up there every morning. The accommodation is under a 10-minute walk from Kawaguchiko station, bikes are free to borrow, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was extremely clean, from the shower to the high-end toilet. They'd thought of little details to make the stay easier, like the day's temperatures, a leaflet listing local supermarkets and activities, and information about an event, in this case a hanabi matsuri. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The gentleman let me check in early for free, and the lady noticed I was having trouble with the bike stand and explained it all in very good English. After years of traveling, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I highly recommend it. They work hard and deserve the best.

The rooftop hammock and that Mt Fuji view were a lovely touch. We stayed two nights and wished we could’ve made it longer. The beds were among the cleanest and most comfortable hostel beds I’ve tried, with loads of space, and there was plenty of seating in the big common area. Free snacks and bike rental were great extras. I’d happily recommend it.

The free bike rental made it easy to explore, though a few bikes could use brake work. Parking costs 500 yen per day, which seemed fair. Check-out was simple, and the place stayed quiet enough to rest despite being a social guesthouse. The first-floor lounge had snacks, games, and comfy seats where guests from different countries could mingle. My mixed dorm was spacious and laid out well, and the bathrooms were impressively clean and modern. There were also a trampoline and bar-style seats on the roof. In clear weather, you may see Mount Fuji from the second-floor windows. This family-run place puts real care into cleanliness and comfort, and Fuji Guest Ao felt like good value for a budget stay.
