The staff were so kind. I was on a biking trip, and they suggested keeping my bike inside, then put up a little note saying “do not touch.” That was really sweet, and it gave me peace of mind since I’d had to lock my bike outside everywhere else. The onsen was nice and not too hot, so I could stay in longer. My room also had a little toilet room, which I don’t think you usually get in a ryokan, and that was great. The place is a bit older but very clean. If you can get a cheap deal, it’s the best. I loved my stay.

The food is made with local ingredients and tastes good, and the accommodations are clean and comfortable. Service is low-key, but enough to let you relax. The spa felt a little slimy, and it gave me the impression it might be good for health. The inn is surrounded by golf country clubs, so there isn’t much to do if you’re not interested in golf. There are photos of sumo wrestlers who stayed there with the champion. They came during a road tournament and had a good, relaxing time.

The hot spring water feels silky and smooth, and the place turned out to be very nice and clean. I wasn’t sure what to expect before arriving. It’s a little out of the way, but that makes it feel just right, while still being close enough to Tokyo for a quick getaway. The staff were friendly.

The breakfast and dinner are prepared in-house, with traditional food that tastes delicious. My room was clean, and the staff were very kind and thoughtful in the service they offered. It’s a short drive from town and nearby places to visit, including Sakurayama Park.
