The location is the only thing going for this place. The photos make the rooms look much bigger than they are, and the room was triangular, with a tiny kitchen and a very dirty fridge. The sofa had stains and was disgusting. There were six of us, but only two beds, so two people were expected to sleep on a dirty mattress. There weren’t enough towels, and the washing machine had no dryer. The cutlery was poor too: the knives couldn’t cut my avocados, and my friends had to mash unripe ones with the few forks provided. There were cockroaches and other bugs in the building at night, and the pest control was abysmal. The owner seemed so cheap that he’d even removed the knob from the downstairs tap, so I couldn’t use it after the beach. The rooftop was boring, and everything I did made me worry I’d be fined some combination of 3. The worst place I’ve EVER stayed.

I had no choice but to book at the last minute, but this room was worse than even my lowest expectations. The price wasn’t even cheap, and this was the worst room I’ve stayed in during my five years in Japan. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. The room was filthy: sticky, dirty floors, sand, and hair from previous guests all over. The shower drain was clogged and drained extremely slowly. I don’t even want to imagine what was in it. I booked for three people, but the sofa bed had only a mattress protector and no sheet, while the other bed had both. When I contacted them to say there were no sheets, they insisted they were there instead of providing one. I’m incredulous.

If you have heavy luggage, keep in mind that you’ll have to take the stairs to reach your room. Paid parking is available nearby. The location is the only selling point. There was dust in several places, and the bed wasn’t clean. Other reviews describe the same issues in more detail.

The location was convenient, but the small rooms, dirty furniture, insect infestation, and lack of amenities were just some of the many things that made this the worst stay I’ve ever had. There are serious problems that need fixing. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

It’s just an apartment converted into a place to stay, with no reception. You have to get the key yourself through email. Basically, somewhere to sleep.
