Sango Katase Guest Rooms

I stayed for more than a week in the second-floor apartment. The location was great and quiet, and the Wi-Fi was very fast. The kitchen was well equipped, with fry pans in very good condition, and there was a great laundry setup in the room. There wasn't a TV, but we had Bluetooth speakers for music.

The rooms each have their own style, mixing old and new, and I've stayed here several times. The beach is a ten-minute walk, and the train is five minutes away. You can get to Tokyo in an hour, and Kamakura is a lovely ride along the sea. The owners designed and built this place and the one next door. They run the cute wine bar downstairs, speak English, and are lovely people who are always happy to suggest local things to do.

The host was so friendly, and the location and room were both amazing. From the room you can see the trains and the river.

Room 201 sits right by the Enoshima Electric Railway, which my youngest loved watching. We were a family of four, and the place felt like a mix of a home and a dorm room. It was so stylish that it seemed almost too nice for the kids. There was no TV, but Wi-Fi kept them from getting bored, even though we wanted them to take a break from screens. Having a kitchen meant we could cook with groceries from a supermarket or convenience store, and Enoshima Station was nearby when we wanted to eat out. I fell asleep with the kids and missed the wine bar on the first floor, so I'll try it next time.
