The old-time feel gives the place a great vibe, and I had a really good time eating there. I chose vegetable curry with chicken, and it was delicious. There are halal food options, which is a plus, especially for Muslim visitors looking for Japanese food. Prices were affordable, though not much different from the non-halal menu, and it’s close to the train station. I’d give it 9/10.

A small, typical Japanese restaurant with simple, tasty food and great service. Worth a stop before you get back on the train.

I stayed for two nights in summer, and it was so easy to head downstairs in casual clothes for a meal, then just go back up and sleep 🤣. The staff were super nice and helpful, which made the place feel warm. I rented an electric bicycle and had a comfy, relaxing ride to Lake kawaguchi. I was able to fully charge here before hiking to the summit of Mt. Fuji. I’ll definitely miss the people and this lovely old house ❤️ See you soon, Host ☺️

I came with my family for the halal food and was surprised by how delicious it was. We had chicken curry and udon. Definitely recommend this place.
