PICA FUJIYOSHIDA - Campsite

A calm, easy-to-book place for camping or auto camping, with helpful staff, good washrooms and an onsen. The mattresses and pillows were clean, the price was reasonable, and it felt close to nature.

For our setup, the location and facilities were plenty. We rented a mini campervan and slept in it, so we only needed a tent space. There are spots with or without electricity, around 5,000-6,000 yen a night for up to six people. We skipped the power since our van’s dual battery works with the engine off. You can also rent or buy things like firewood and lamps, and there’s a shower area with a small hot tub (onsen). There isn’t a special lookout, but you can see Mt Fuji from the main road outside. Cabins are another rental option.

We arrived totally unprepared for a yurt stay after travelling from the UK, but the staff provided everything we needed and were incredibly helpful. We’d missed our bus and were going to miss check-in, so I messaged them and they waited until 8 o’clock for us. There’s a free shuttle that runs twice a day to nearby areas, and they even printed us a timetable. The facilities and location were great too. They also had a guest cat 🐈‍⬛. Would highly recommend.

The place is nicely arranged among the trees, and the rooms, bath and toilets were all very clean. The rental gear, though, is way overpriced.
