Hayama Hotel Otowa NO Mori

The restaurants were a real highlight, and they're reserved for hotel guests. We started with room service breakfast, which was divine, then had an excellent omelette at the restaurant the next morning. I can't wait to return. We loved the sights around Kamakura, though we needed more time to see them. Getting there was easy: the hotel arranged a taxi, and we found another at the train station for the ride back. The taxis were quick, simple to find, and cheap. We stay in luxury hotels whenever we can, and Hayam Hotel Otowa No Mori absolutely felt like a five star place. It's close to the area's beautiful historic sites, a rare combination with this level of luxury. The service was great, the rooms were gorgeous, and ours looked out at Mount Fuji. The food was brilliant, and all the technology felt state of the art. The bed, bedding, bathroom, facilities, and mini bar were all perfect. We're already making plans to come back next year.

For 50,000 yen, the room came with food, service, and atmosphere that were all perfect. The restaurant's French dinner was first rate, and breakfast brought to the room was delicious. The beach is just a five minute walk if you want to swim. We'll return.

I've never actually been there in person, but the Google Earth tour was incredible. Even the bed looked so cozy I nearly nodded off in my chair here in America. It went beyond what I expected, 10/10, would recommend.

Great place. Michael must have liked it here too.... The restaurant team could improve, though, especially with such professional doormen working right alongside them.
