In my language, this is called “paradise”. It was my first place to stay in Japan. I booked a bunk bed at this hostel for a Mt Fuji day trip, and after the trail I could still enjoy the spectacular view from the balcony. Everything was very clean. Bus stops, the train station, convenience stores, restaurants and laundry are all nearby and walkable, though limited in number. The area was quiet even with bars and pubs nearby. At night I only heard water flowing through the sewer and crickets. Owner Micheal and the staff were kind, helpful and lovely. I can't say I didn't enjoy anything. For the future, allowing late check-in could be useful if someone's visit is delayed by unforeseen circumstances.

The hostel is simple, but clean and comfortable, with what I needed for a short stay near Mt. Fuji. The beds were fine, there were lockers for security, and the common area had a cozy, casual feel where I could relax after exploring. Staff were friendly and clearly cared about guests. Check-in was quick, and they were always willing to answer questions about the area or transport. The location is convenient too, on the main road and easy to find, about a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal even with luggage. Day trips around the area are easy from there. For an affordable stay near Mt. Fuji with a welcoming atmosphere, this is a solid choice.

The hostel even helped me get my bag back from a restaurant after hours, which was so kind. Our room was clean and quiet, and there was free coffee and tea. Loved staying here, and I highly recommend it. Thanks so much!

This family-run hostel is spotless and really cozy. The owners speak excellent English, so it was easy to communicate, and they helped point us toward places to visit and shared tips for climbing Mt. Fuji. I enjoyed my stay a lot and would recommend it.

The facilities were very clean and well kept, and everything had clear labels with explanations in multiple languages. Laundry, including washing and drying, costs ¥500. There are two dorm rooms for 10 people each and two private rooms. During our stay, the dorms had about five people at most. A shared fridge, toaster oven, microwave and water cooker are available. Label your food in the fridge. Lockers can be rented and fit a large backpack with room to spare. Gekkouji station is a short walk away, with a grocery store and Daiso nearby, plus a vending machine right outside the hostel. The staff were extremely welcoming and knew a lot about Mt. Fuji. They helped us figure out which buses to take and had several timetables available.
