Villa Shikitei

you really feel the traditional japanese atmosphere here. it's a great place to stay, and the owner is a really nice guy.

We had five adults and one large dog, and there was plenty of room for us all. We made precious memories with our beloved dog, and I’d definitely like to stay here again. It’s also easy to drive to places like Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. We stayed last December, and the place was very clean despite allowing dogs. The renovated toilets and washrooms were spotless, and the amenities were excellent. There had been a problem with the accommodation we’d planned to use, but the staff responded quickly, which was a real relief. I went into the cypress bath several times. It was so relaxing.

The staff were very considerate and did their best to accommodate our requests. The Japanese-style room felt like a villa, with a loft and kitchen that gave it the feel of a secret hideout and a cozy family home at the same time. It brought back a sense of excitement and nostalgia. There were stoves throughout the room, so we weren’t cold. A great place to rest when you’re tired. Thank you.

I’m staying at Hoshi Furu Ie right now, and I was so moved by how wonderful the service, room, and food were that I wanted to post this before leaving. I checked in on August 10th and will definitely come back.
