Residence Hotel Hakata 15

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Three people and three pieces of luggage fit fine. You can sleep on either the bed or the futon. Towels and water were left outside our door daily, and the room got a thorough cleaning every few days. There was free tea and coffee in the lobby, plus welcome snacks that we missed every day. A special mention for the ReFa hair dryer. It was so good I was tempted to buy one to take home. The train station was farther away than I’d expected, and getting to the airport in the very early hours was difficult. There are several bus stops nearby, though, and both Canal City and Hakata JR Station are walkable. Thanks for the stay!

It’s an okay hotel, clean and basic. We stayed five nights, but they only cleaned the room once, not every day.

Our room was on the small side, but there was enough storage, so it wasn’t an issue. We were lucky to get the 12th floor and a gorgeous balcony. The location was great, and the hotel had laundry facilities for ¥300. I really loved this place, maybe my favorite hotel of the holiday.

After seeing the many bad comments on Google Maps, I understand why people have concerns. I won’t come back, and I strongly recommend cancelling your reservation and booking another hotel.
