The front desk staff were really great, easily five stars for their service, and the location was great too. My family booked three rooms. Two were fine, though very small, but the bathroom in mine smelled of mildew and mold, apparently from the curtain. I asked for it to be cleaned, and after someone came to inspect it, they agreed the curtain smelled bad. We left, and when we came back the bathroom smelled better and the curtain no longer seemed to have the odor. But later, while taking a bath, I could smell the mildew again. I think they replaced the curtain without thoroughly cleaning the whole bathroom. That was disappointing, and at this price I expect there may be better places to stay.

The room size was typical for Japan and fine for one person, though it would feel tight with two. Everything else was consistently good: clean and comfortable rooms, professional staff, a good location, and fair value. This is a good hotel brand, and I'd recommend it.

It was a comfortable bed on a quiet street in a fairly central spot, with excellent service. There are chari bikes outside and several stations nearby, and the location is great. But the bathroom was tiny, dated, and smelled strongly of mildew, noticeable as soon as I entered the room. This may have been the smallest room I've stayed in in Japan. Checkout is very early, at 10am, and everyone seemed to be leaving in a rush around then. We cut it close, which was stressful when in a hurry.

The breakfast was delicious, and the room rates were very affordable. The rooms were clean and compact, but the size suited me and my wife and felt cozy. We made wonderful memories here, and staying at this APA Hotel was one of the highlights of our Fukuoka trip. It was convenient for the subway and surrounded by great local restaurants, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We'd happily come back 🙏👍🏨
