The kitchen made it easy to put together inexpensive breakfasts and lunches, and the place fit our family of five very comfortably. We wished we could have stayed longer. The facilities were great, and the check-in and check-out systems worked perfectly. It was awesome value for money. There’s no parking included, though coin parking nearby was only about 1200 a day. The loft could be a little dangerous for small children because the drop over the ledge is quite high. I’d like to see a railing added.

Everything was great, but there were no plates, bowls, or utensils.

It’s a fully unmanned place in a residential area, a short distance from Nakasu-Kawabata Station. There’s a 7-Eleven nearby. Check-in is on a tablet on the building’s first floor, and after that you get your room number and electronic door code. Check-in was easy, and the room was spotless. The apartment has a kitchen, toilet, shower bathroom, washing machine, sink, fridge-freezer, TV, closet, vacuum, humidifier, full-length mirror, bath mat, towels, toothbrushes, and hair dryer. There’s a sofa on the lower bunk and a loft with four futon sets. The kitchen has utensils, but the knives, pans, and pots looked fluffy and white in the photos, so I didn’t feel like washing them. That’s not much of an issue if you aren’t cooking. The cups and utensils looked fine at first glance, and I washed them with the provided sponge and detergent before use. There are several outlets, but they’re all by the wall, so I’d strongly recommend bringing an extension cord. No pajamas are provided, so bring your own. In winter, the air conditioning doesn’t seem to work very well, perhaps because of the loft’s height. Around 2 a.m., a vehicle came to collect empty bottles and cans, rattling noisily. Since the building is unmanned, there’s nowhere to store luggage before or after check-in. You’ll need to find a coin locker if needed. Second-floor rooms are reached by stairs, as there’s no elevator.

For 3,700฿ over four days, this was a spacious room with complete amenities and good value. It has a kitchen and fridge for cooking, plus a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas. The location is convenient, not far from the train station, with a nearby bus stop and shopping areas. I’d recommend it for up to four people. I stayed on the first floor and could hear people walking upstairs quite clearly, though it wasn’t a big problem.

For three people, three nights came to about 24,000 yen, which felt like a great deal. The duplex studio has a separate sleeping area, so we could spread our things out in the living room. The air conditioner worked well. With the high ceiling, it felt a little hot at first, but that passed quickly. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Don Quijote Nakasu. The neighborhood felt quiet and more local than Tenjin or Hakata. The building is down an alley, has four rooms in total, and is two stories with no elevator. We checked in on the tablet at the entrance and checked out on the tablet in the room. The furniture seemed a bit old, the bunk bed creaked quite a lot, and there was some limescale on the bathroom faucet. Still, the price made those things easier to accept.
