Dream Inn Hakata

The building was really quiet, and the staff were lovely. Some speak English and Korean fluently. Thanks for the great service, Michael from VT! Hakata station is about a 15-minute walk away.

The staff are so kind, and having three double beds worked well for our family trip with my parents-in-law, my husband, our son and me.

A nice condo-style place in Fukuoka, apart from the dryers, which are pretty useless. They’re made in China. I still liked staying here, though I think I paid too much since the Grand Hyatt was cheaper.

There are only seven local TV channels, so the choice of programs isn’t great. The staff are very friendly, and though their English was basic, simple questions like how to book a taxi were manageable. One person spoke Mandarin and explained where I could get breakfast. You’ll need to go to Hakata station for breakfast, since there aren’t any restaurants near Dream Inn open in the morning. The room has a washing machine but no dryer function. We hung clothes on the small balcony and they dried quickly in the wind, though there’s room for only about 10 items. It’s around 12 minutes from Hakata station. The room was big enough for four, with clean, comfortable beds and all the equipment we needed. We had a good stay.
