Fukuoka Floral Inn Nishinakasu

We’d stay again. The place is quiet despite being downtown, and the staff were very helpful. They have lots of little amenities, including air cleaners, slippers and robes in the rooms, plus a rack of pillow options. My wife liked the shampoo and tea bar, and you can rent bikes for ¥300/day.

The room is small, but that’s already clear, so I don’t get why people are surprised. The location is king, and the staff are really nice and helpful. Breakfast for the price beats plenty of places calling themselves five-star hotels, in my view. There are lots of food choices, two kinds of soup, and a huge range of drinks: water, coffee, milk, orange juice, carrot orange juice, and lemonade. I’d give it six stars if I could.

I was disappointed there wasn’t a closet in the room. The walls are thin, so you can hear through them, though I guess that’s common in a lot of Japanese hotels. The rest was good.

The location is the standout, within walking distance of Tenjin and Canal City, right in Nakasu. It’s a typical budget Japanese hotel with tiny rooms and nothing especially remarkable, though the ¥300 bike rental and "shampoo bar" were unusual. One thing that felt odd was the 10am checkout. That’s too early.
