We’re only on our first night, but I’m furious and have to complain. Check-in took 45 minutes because reception couldn’t find my booking, and nobody apologized. The corridor is extremely dark. Staff didn’t offer to help with our luggage or using the car park. Our room toilet wasn’t properly cleaned, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work. There were no towels or water in the gym. When I called reception, the staff member just stayed silent and asked what I wanted her to do. This is ridiculous. Is this a motel?

The building is new and nice, but poor service made the stay disappointing. The staff seemed inexperienced from the start. In the rain at check-in, one person came to our car and asked my driver for the reservation name while my wife and I were unloading five bags. They saw us struggling but didn’t help, so we carried everything ourselves. At checkout, nobody greeted or acknowledged us. It felt cold and unwelcoming, more like a basic U.S. motel than a hotel in Japan, where hospitality is expected.

This is the best place around Momochihama. Hakata Bay stretched out right in front of our room, and we could relax there. The room was clean, and breakfast was delicious.

We stayed here for my husband’s birthday and really liked the resort feel. Our plan ran from 5 pm until noon the next day, but I think we could have relaxed more with a plan that started at 2 pm and still checked out at noon. It would also be nice to have a Japanese breakfast option among the choices. I’d like to stay here again.
