We had a great stay at GRAND BASE Hakata Haruyoshi. The neighborhood was peaceful at night even with quite a few restaurants nearby, so it was easy to rest. Our family of five fit well in the room, which had two double beds and one single. It was just enough space, and everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. Having a washing machine and drying machine in the room was great. Check-in was simple and completely contactless. It’s around a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. That’s easy enough without luggage, but I’d take a taxi for convenience if carrying suitcases.

It’s a little bit of a walk, but you can reach Canal City on foot and get to bus and train stations easily. The facilities are complete, and it feels like a small apartment. We had a ground-floor room. It’s unmanned, so make sure they email you the instructions for checking in on your own.

Good value for three people. Our room had space for five, with two double beds and one single, and it was fairly spacious. It was clean, and came with a washing machine and a kitchen with an induction cooker. You should expect to walk to most places, since the train stations are quite far apart. Some bus stops are a bit closer.

It’s close to shops and restaurants, and Hakata station is about a 15-minute walk away. The price was very good, and I’d recommend it. From the balcony there’s a nice river view. It’s a well-equipped apartment with a kitchen cooker, plates, glasses, cutlery, fridge and freezer, plus air conditioning and a fully equipped bathroom. There’s a TV too.

Bad service. This is the only hotel I’ve stayed at that doesn’t offer luggage storage for guests.
