Guest House air one

The studio itself was a good size by Japanese standards, clean, and had a kitchenette and washing machine. I slept comfortably on the traditional tatami mats, and the location worked well for transport, local shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Hakata Station is walkable, though it took about 30 minutes. Just know what you're booking: despite being listed as a hotel on several travel sites, this is really a studio in a residential apartment building, with no reception or amenities. Finding it was difficult because there were no instructions, and Google Maps sent me to the back parking lot. Look for the Toyoko Inn Fukuoka, the corridor to the building is right beside it. When you arrive, you need to call the owner to come over with the key and let you in. My local SIM couldn't make calls, so I had to put my Vodafone SIM back in and pay roaming charges. The owner doesn't speak English, but managed well enough with Google Translate. I'd recommend it if you're okay with those limitations.
