The room smelled bad, and the beds were only mediocre. I booked through Capital one because the photos looked nice, but they didn’t show how rough the place really was.

My room was bigger than I expected, and from the eighth floor I had a lovely view of Fukuoka tower. I could also hear some noise from the coin laundry and neighboring rooms. Cleanliness was mixed: there was mold on the bathroom ceiling, dust built up beneath the fridge, and stains on the blanket cover. It wasn’t an unpleasant stay, though. Breakfast was a standard buffet. I got there late, at 8:30, so I assume I missed most of the better food. If that was all there was, it felt very overpriced. The signs and information were translated into rough but understandable English. Knowing some Japanese would make things easier. For a simple standard hotel, it was about what I expected for the price.

It was the cheapest option for my dates, and I found the room clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful, and the subway is just a two-minute walk away. A good, simple hotel.

My workplace arranged the stay, so I didn’t choose the hotel myself. It was cute and within easy reach of important places in Fukuoka. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was okay, and the small bathroom was very clean.
