For a single-bed stay, I'd give it four stars. The room is small but arranged nicely, though my stuff messed up the photos. The staff were amazing and polite, especially the reception employee who helped us with everything, pointed us toward different places and malls, and booked cabs for us as a priority. There was no iron or locker, and no bottled water. I'm not used to drinking tap water, however clean it may be.

We appreciated the hospitality and would definitely stay at Hotel AZ again. It's a great budget option if you're driving: breakfast and parking are free, and the price is competitive. The three-level car park has plenty of spaces for hotel guests, with free entry and exit at any time. It's about a 15-minute drive from Fukuoka Airport and 30 minutes from Tenjin. The lobby staff were friendly, capable, fluent in English, and welcoming to foreign visitors. Check-in and checkout were very smooth. Room, bed, and restroom sizes were similar to other major budget hotels in Japan, and cleanliness was acceptable. The room was well soundproofed despite being near the airport. I liked the adjustable vent below the window for bringing in fresh air. Breakfast is self-service, with simple but decent food and drinks. There’s also a small shop to the left of the lobby selling everyday items and instant food at reasonable prices.

The room was well maintained and comfortable, the staff had good personalities, and the food was good too.

It's a little outside the city centre, but staying here is fine if you have your own car. It's not too far from the airport, the staff seemed fluent in English, and breakfast was included. We'll stay here again.

Very close to the airport.
