Hotel La Foresta By Rigna

The staff were nice, and the location is very good. The room is small, as expected, and looks modern, but the layout isn’t very practical. I found just one plug near the bed, so it wasn’t useful for charging while I slept, and there was no outlet by a mirror, which made doing my hair annoying. The water temperature kept fluctuating. I also heard noise and felt a breeze from outside. I stayed in May, so the draft was okay then, but it might be cold in winter. Earplugs helped me sleep, though without them I don’t think I would have. The curtains also let in too much light.

The location is what makes Hotel La Foresta a winner, and it was the main reason I chose it. Check-in and checkout were quick and the service was efficient. My only small gripes were that the room felt a bit cramped and I needed an extra moment to figure out how to open the door lock.

The staff were accommodating despite the language barrier. They held our bags after checkout while we waited for our flight, and also found the water bottle we’d left in the room and kept it for us. We stayed five nights. For two people the room was so small we could barely move, though that wasn’t surprising at the price. The hot water setup was a bit faulty: to get cold water, you had to turn it all the way to the coldest setting; anywhere else it stayed hot. At 12,000 Yen per night, it was worth it to us. I’d recommend it if you want an inexpensive hotel near the station and convenience stores.

The staff were friendly and pretty. It took me a little while to find the hotel the first time, since it’s tucked behind a bit and beside a burger restourant. You need to get tea or coffee condiments from the lobby.
