The villa was comfortable for our family, and the price was good for the amount of space. For our family of four, it cost about the same as a typical hotel. The host was available when we had questions, and the manuals and instructions were easy to follow in English. It was lovely falling asleep and waking up to the ocean. Quiet hours apply because the neighbors are close by, which was totally fine with us. If you’re not used to thin Japanese-style pillows, bring thicker ones. We stacked two of the pillows provided and slept wonderfully.

“Terrible Fukuoka experience.” They wouldn’t give even a 1% refund when bad weather canceled our flight and we had to cancel our stay. The only response was that nothing could be done. If you’re thinking of using this villa, I’d suggest booking only if there’s availability that day instead of making a reservation.

What a great guest house, on another level. It’s completely secluded right by the sea, and the beautiful view of Fukuoka city really helps you relax.
