Seaside Hotel Twins Momochi

I liked the service a lot, and my room stayed clean with daily housekeeping. They changed the towels and left toothbrushes, water, and coffee, and there was a small fridge for anything that needed chilling. I was in Fukuoka for a visa run and stayed three nights. They couldn’t fit me in for a fourth, which was disappointing. The hotel is close to Yahoo stadium and Fukuoka tower. It’s in some kind of financial district, so it’s not especially handy for nightlife in downtown Tenjin or for visiting the city’s shrines.

I had trouble sleeping because the mattress was uncomfortable and the heater was loud. The bathroom was so cramped that my knees hit the wall while I was sitting down.

For a baseball game at the Dome, this is probably the most convenient affordable place nearby. It isn’t fancy, but it isn’t pricey either. I’d pass on the hotel breakfast and grab something at the convenience store next door.

The place is far from Hakata station, and there are better hotels around the Hakata center. My twin room had a very cramped bathroom, the view wasn’t good, and the facilities felt old. I even had to go down to reception to get an ironing kit.
