We stayed here for three nights, six of us, and liked the accommodation. It’s in a safe neighborhood where people are out walking at night. Hakata Station is an eight-minute walk and connects you to everywhere, with pizza and 7-11 around the corner. There’s a large wash-and-dry laundry nearby for dirty clothes, since the machine provided doesn’t have a drying function. For unloading luggage, use the public car park, as there’s nowhere to stop outside.

This apartment worked well for a family. The appliances were all in good working order, and it’s in a quiet corner. There’s an Aeon supermarket not far away with plenty of produce and food, both ingredients and ready-made meals. I wasn’t sure what to do with baby diapers during our few-day stay, since trash is collected only once a week or so. There were no instructions about this, and management should provide some.

A great place for rail fans to photograph all kinds of trains, including shinkansen N700, limited express trains to Huis Ten Bosch, the sightseeing train Yufuin no Mori, and commuters. You can use your own tripod on the balcony for time-lapse shots, though the ledge is slanted, supposedly to discourage birds. It’s quiet, but about a 1 km walk from the station. There’s one toilet in the unit and another in the public area for emergencies. No housekeeping. This should be popular in summer.

The neighborhood is mostly residential, so you’ll need to travel for most sights and activities. Still, this is a high-quality apartment-style place with friendly staff, and it’s a convenient base for the shinkansen and metro to central Fukuoka. Hakata Station is just over a 10-minute walk away.
