Having a roomy place where I could cook and do laundry was a real plus. Getting to Tenjin was easy too, and the drugstore in front of the quiet station was useful for everyday basics. A cutting board and some clothespins would have helped. The downsides were the shaking whenever a large vehicle drove past the building, and how clearly you could hear the neighbors. Around the nearby ramen shop there was also a really unpleasant smell of sewage mixed with pork broth.

I hadn't realized there was a lodging tax. The room is roomy, with a large separate bathroom and a kitchen, so it seems like a good fit for a longer stay.

For a business trip, this place had more equipment than the usual budget business hotel. I especially liked having the toilet and bathroom in separate rooms, and the auto-lock on the room made it feel more secure.

Higher floors have a better view, and there's an elevator to get up to the room. It's a one-room apartment with a card-key auto-lock, separate toilet and bathroom, and a washlet. The bathtub is medium-sized, and the washing machine and washroom are in their own separate room. The location is handy: Nishitetsu Sakuranamiki Station is a 5-minute walk away, and JR Minami-Fukuoka Station is 10 minutes on foot. The closest convenience store is Lawson at Nishitetsu Sakuranamiki Station. Parking costs an extra 500 yen if reserved. The kitchen has an induction cooktop; both the kitchen and fridge are small, but about right for one person.
