4/10
The rooms and shared areas were well kept, and the free parking was convenient. But I noticed a disappointing difference in how foreign and Japanese guests were welcomed. My check-in was short and cold, with little explanation of the hotel or its facilities. Japanese guests nearby received a much warmer greeting and detailed guidance. That uneven treatment left a bad impression. Everyone should feel equally welcome and informed, and more attentive, consistent service at reception would improve the experience.

I’m happy with the location. I expected it to be too far from the center, but it’s peaceful and there’s everything you need nearby.

The room was clean and the bath was spacious, and the front desk staff were friendly. I also found the disposable slippers really comfortable. I haven’t tried breakfast yet, but I hope to soon. Comfort Hotel is a relaxing place.

The smoked Kawamata Shamo chicken was especially tasty, though everything at breakfast was good. When I stayed, the buffet had curry, scrambled eggs, yogurt, and five-grain rice. I would have preferred white rice. The hotel is right by the highway, so it was easy to reach, and the staff were attentive. I was traveling to Urabandai and found the price excellent value. The queen-size bed was comfortable, the pillows were well chosen, and there was a washlet. I’d definitely stay here again.

Breakfast is satisfying, and I’m always impressed by the multi-grain rice. The bathtub is large compared with the usual hotel kind, and I think the hotel is especially convenient if you’re traveling by car. Comfort Hotel is consistently excellent for me: the front desk service is superb wherever I stay, and the rooms are clean with comfortable bedding.
