I went just to try the hot springs, and they were amazing. You can use them without booking a room, though I wish I’d stayed overnight. The outdoor bath is wonderfully close to nature, and I loved that they also had an ice-cold bath. I’ll come back with a group sometime.

The onsen itself was great, but the staff’s kindness and service made the visit especially lovely. I had a really good experience today, particularly thanks to the gentleman at the front desk.

The private bath cost an extra ¥2,500. It was clean and spacious, though the changing area was a little cramped. The water is clear with white sediment, comes directly from a natural hot spring, and isn’t recirculated. The inlets smell of sulfur.

It’s a very quiet area, good for a restful stay, and for the price I felt it was worth it. The staff were kind and helpful, the room was clean, and the view was relaxing. The onsen was just okay, and you have to leave your room to bathe. Food was good, and there’s free coffee in the lobby. From Fukushima East bus station, take the bus at stop 7. It runs about once an hour, so not very often, but that wasn’t a problem for me. I’d recommend it.

Nice place, and the room was spacious. It was around ¥8,000 for two people. The onsen closes at 8:30 pm even for overnight guests, which felt a bit early.
