The staff made sure we were comfortable and able to relax, and they were all so welcoming and kind. Our first Ryoken stay was better than I could have imagined. The food was elite, the service was exceptional, and we found the futon beds incredibly comfortable. Each of the Onsens was beautiful and had its own character. We had such a relaxing, incredible time. Thank you so much to all the staff.

The time limits for using the onsen never made us feel rushed. The staff were especially kind, friendly, and helpful, and we couldn't think of a single thing missing. It was a perfect Ryokan experience, absolutely stunning from start to finish.

The private outdoor onsen at Shinpeki was so good. Service was up to the standard you'd expect at a ryokan, and they even translated the information and dinner menu into our language for us. My only complaint is the food. The taste was so-so and a bit boring. Compared with other ryokans, I think the chef at Satonoyu is at a somewhat lower standard.

The bath in the forest was memorable, and the setting and hospitality were wonderful. The photos don't really show what the ryokan is like, so you have to see it for yourself. I'd recommend staying at least 2 nights.
